NY1 News is always looking for top television news and production personnel interested in working in the dynamic, demanding world of 24-hour news.

Below are the departments that have positions available at this time, as well as instructions for contacting the station for more information. A college degree is the minimum educational requirement for all positions, and knowledge of New York City is a plus.
News Department Openings

Producer: Fulltime position available. Applicants must have at least four years' experience as a producer in a working newsroom.

Writer: Freelance positions available. Applicants must have at least two years' experience in a working newsroom. Writing samples must be available.

Associate Producer: Fulltime positions available. Applicants must have at least three years' experience as a writer or producer in a working newsroom.

News Assistant: Freelance positions available. This is an entry-level position, but a degree in journalism or communications is a plus.

New Media Writer: Fulltime position available. College or professional writing experience, as well as knowledge of the Internet, is required; a degree in journalism or communications is a plus.

Video Editor: Freelance positions available. Applicants must have at least two years' experience editing in a newsroom setting.
